Is this convertable or am i SOL?

Hi all,

Well I downloaded a MPEG video clip and wanted to due some work on it in VD but when I loaded it VirtualDub game me the following message(s):



followed by



I've tried converting it with Mainconcepts MPEG encoder, ASF Tools 3.1, TMPGenc, and VirtualDub 1.3c but none have worked. It plays in PowerDVD and WMP. Do I have any options, or am I out of luck.

The problem is that the asf is damaged(as the error messgaes state). Looks like you've already tried jumping through several hoops but you might want to try Canopus Procoder, which has worked well for me in the past for asf files. I'm not sure if they still have a trial available for download though. Not sure if you did this already but you ought to try fixing it with ASFtools first.

Unfortunatly ASF Tools doesnt even recognise the file I went ahead an tried loading it into Canopus...same thing ' file format not recognized'. Looks like im out of luck on this one.

Just an update.

I finally managed to convert it using a program called EO Video All-in-one... http://www.eo-video.com/
