I have heard that the internals for the pioneer 106 and 107 are the same, so is there a hacked firmware to burn at 8x, thanks

The 106 is only a 4x drive.
The 107 is 8x.
Firmware isn't that magical. -
I have just bought a 107 at my local fair and a guy i was talking to said that with the new firmware 4* RiTek disks will burn at 8*.So i bought some Ritek disks and guess what 4* speed.Bummmer.
Was he just talking rubbish or have i bought the wrong disks (RiDisc)
or have i installed the wrong firmware. It was the latest from the pioneer website. -
You need to flash your firmware to a hacked one, do a forum search and you will pull up numerous threads on this with links to the firmware.
