  1. I Have a 23fps film.
I recently bought Intervideo Windvd creator but for it will only convert to 25fps or 29fps.
So i choose 25 as its the nearest to 23fps.
    It works quite well.
However the motions a bit jerky.
I guess i need to frameserv? (is that right).
If so how or what do i use.

Im converting from avi to DVD

    Thanx in advance

Unless you are in PAL land, use 29FPS. Unless you were going to use TMPGEnc or other similar MPG encoders, you shouldn't need to frameserve. You can, however frameserve an AVI from Virtualdub, for one, into TMPGEnc or the like. Frameserving is generally done to eliminate a mid temporary file when you edit, modify an AVI. There are tutorials on Virtualdub frameserving over in the 'How To' guides to the left.

  4. use 3:2 pull down filter, if you are converting to different fps than original..

The chances are your dvd player will play a NTSC emcoded disc anyway encode at the same framerate(with pulldown) and see what happens - you may be suprised !
