    Is there a program that can cut a large video file into 2 so that you can save it on a cd? Also if there is, Is there a program that can join the two files together?

    WinRAR can compress & cut it into as many pieces as you want to store on a CD.

    My favorite tool for cutting up movies is AVI/MPEG/ASF/WMV Splitter. It will split into as many or few equal sized parts as you want or just a single part of user specified duration.
