    Good info. however one thing does'nt settle, in the do's and don'ts for dvd it mentions:
    4. Do not store discs horizontally for a long time (years).

    I cant imagine why storing a dvd horizontally for long periods of time could be bad to a dvd disk as opposed to storing it in a vertical manner.

    Good point. I might understand if it was just the opposite. Maybe the dye might flow over time, due to the effect of gravity . Much like glass, as a supercooled liquid.

    I think they might stay flat stored vertically, as opposed to assuming a cup shape if you lay them flat, as per on a spindle.

    I really doubt they will sag, flat, but, you know, they do have to cover their asses.

    Ah, well, at least my LiteOn spins the damn thngs so fast they flatten out, like a saw blade does when it gets up to speed..
