  1. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but it kind of falls between all of them!!

I have a fairly old TV/Capture card that Windows always used to recognise as MM100TV that I know is a Brooktree 848. It came in a PC from a UK company called Time Computers.

It's now gone through W98 and ME and a couple of different computers and always worked just fine...Now I've gone onto XP, I can't get the thing to work...I take ithe W98 drivers are to blame, but I've tried a couple off Drivers.com that were for Wsk and still no joy..I can now get a picture on the screen, but it is almost as if it trying to display the wrong TV format (i.e.NTSC instead of PAL) even though I've set it to PAL..

Long shot, I know, but any ideas??

  3. Try the "universal tweaked bt8x8/bt878 WDM drivers" available at http://www.iulab.com/ . They work with many of these cards and have several enhancements to improve performance.

  4. Good luck, tried all this weekend to try to get my dads WINTV PCI card to work with WIN2000, there is no running VFW BT848 drivers with WIN2000 or XP, the WDM drivers so far have been a bust the only way to even capture is at the 352x240 res. no higher or the card locks up, and have to use 16 or 24RGB AVI settings only, which are at 7500 bitrate, thats about 700MB a minute, but still are dropping frames like crazy can't even get above 18fps. I was going to go to WIN2000 or XP from WIN98 Gold, but forget it now until I see some great drivers out there for these cards.
