Will be getting an ATI All in Wonder card soon and it may be a used bare bone card. (Poor results with Philips and Conexant cards)
Looks like the cables and remote if I want one are readily available.
My concern is the software, I know the card drivers are available from ATI but was wondering about what else comes with these cards and how much of it I will need?
I currently have a Non-AIW Radeon card and so already have drivers and also have MMC 7.7.0.1
ATI's site says you must purchase a CD to upgrade to MMC 8 but Lord Smurf's signature says don't buy the CD its free. Am I missing something or does this just mean don't buy the CD if you want to stay on MMC 7?
What other software is included with retail versions of these cards and do I need any of it?
I have TMPGEnc DVD Author, MainConcept MPEG Encoder and Nero from other purchases, so I am ok for Authoring, Burning and Encoding.
Thanks for any/all advice.

My 9000 PRO card came with Pinnacle Studio 8;
My 8500DV card came with Ulead Video Studio 6;
I definitely prefer Video Studio over MMC, mainly cause Ulead doesn't drop any frames while MMC uses to drop a bit - I've made several tests using the same VHS tape as source;
It seems that MMC is good to use once you have an Intel Chipset MB, mine isn't and it doesn't work properly - ATI never solved that;
Good luck, AiW are good cards, I don't like MMC though;

My 9800 came with purple cable for Svideo and composite capture, Morrowind, Raven Shield, stripped down versions of Studio8 and Mediator. Both are functioning versions but are not the full version. They lack some essential features like being able to adjust brightness and contrast in Studio8 which really made it useless, you could upgrade it for half the price. I purchased mine in December so the software probably changed since then. It also came with Composite and HDTV output adapters.
MMC is upgadeable for free as are the drivers. I think you need to purchase the CD if you have a much older version of MMC or something like that. -
@Zetti I have the 9000pro also. I didn't care for P Studio 8 that came with the card but I really like Ulead Video Studio 6. Fortuately I have an Intel MB and MMC 8.1 thru 8.9 works great with no dropped frames. It would be nice if ATI would correct the problem with other chipsets.

I have a 7500 which came with Ulead Video Studio 6 along with the remote and some games that I threw away. I have an AMD CPU with a VIA chipset based mother board and I rarely get any dropped frames. I prefer ATI MMC for capturing. As Lordsmurf says, MMC is free. You would only need to purchase a cd if you wanted the ATI DVD player software if you didn't already have it.
