I own a Honda Odyssey with manufacturer installed DVD player, and I have so much problem playing movies on the recorded dvd-r & +r. The movie either blocky or won't play at all. Really pissed me off, I paid over $300 for the f***ing system.

And I have seen the light to my problem, I bought DVD+R, change the bitsettings to DVD-ROM, and my Honda Odyssey DVD player love it, and I too, love it.

From now on DVD+R for me only, no more -r stuff. Also, my liteon 811s write dvd-rom as default to +r, and sometimes I do 8x on the 4x, run kprobe with beautiful result. Though, I only use 8x when I am on time-crunch, I use 4x to make sure the video is good.

I use Memorex & TDK +r media, which are CMC and Ricoh. I prefers Ricoh, slightly better kprobe result, but both are very good, no coaster yet. I need to find a cheaper source for the +r, those brand name cost me an arm and leg as I go through 100 dvd+r in a month.
