  1. I have a Powerbook G4 17" and a 17" Imac both with Superdrives. I am so confused about what dvd-r media I should buy, other than the Apple brand. Does anyone know what media works with these two computers and where I can purchase them?

Use only the best type of media you will have no troubles then. Try verbatim, ritek Go4. For a complete list look to the left of your screen under OTHER and read throught the DVD MEDIA <---

A lot of good info was passed inthis thread, and
I now exclusively use TDK 2x media.

WOO HOO! guess i got one converted over. TDK 2x is my favorite. However im considering tossing my drive and getting a DVR-107!

basically go with more name brand disks. Stay away from bargin disks
Imation, Verbatim, TDK, Rytek are all good brands.

i get my media from www.meritline.com

I'll second the recommendation on the TDK 2X discs. With my G4/Pioneer A04 setup, I have burned about 25, so far, with no errors. Before settling on the TDK's, I had tried Memorex & Sony with about a 20% failure rate between those two brands. I think you will find that most people that have posted on this in the past will recommend trying different brands untill you find the one that works best with your system and plays on your stand alone player.
