i have 2 bin/cue files with svcd mpeg2 .mpg files in them. is there a way i can extract the mpgs and play them on my computer without actually burning to a cd first (i don't have any cdr's left)?

Yes get Daemon tools, you can mount any .iso, .bin, .nrg etc file and view, play, install whatever you want. It installs a virtual cdrom drive on your machine. It is a very usefull utility and I highly recommend it.
