  3. 1. Open Ulead DVD WORKSHOP 2.0;

    2. Click the NEW PROJECT button;

    3. After the NEW PROJECT pop-up menu appears, type a name for your new project, select the DVD option, and then click the OK button;

    4. Click the ADD VIDEO button;

    5. After the LOAD VIDEO FILE pop-up menu appears, use your mouse to highlight the files you wish to import and then click the OPEN button;

    6. Drag and drop the thumbnails representing the clips from the library to the TITLE LIST;

    7. Click the MENU step button;

    8. Click the CREATE MENU - TEMPLATE button;

    9. After the SELECT MENU TEMPLATE pop-up menu appears, choose your menu and then click the FINISH button;

    10. Drag and drop the thumbnails in the TITLE LIST into their respective empty frames on the DVD menu in the preview window;

    11. At this point, you will observe a PLAYLIST below the BUTTON tab;

    12. You will also observe there are actually three (3) playlists that each correspond to the thumbnail you happen to have highlighted on the DVD menu in the preview window;

    13. You will also note each of the three playlists includes an entry that bears the name of the respective video clip followed by the word "MENU;"

    14. Highlight the first thumbnail of the DVD menu in the preview window;

    15. Now - under the BUTTON tab - you should observe the PLAYLIST that corresponds to the highlighted thumbnail;

    16. Drag and drop the second thumbnail in the TITLE LIST to the PLAYLIST that corresponds to the first thumbnail in the DVD menu (drop the thumbnail between the name of the first clip and the word "menu");

    17. Now you should observe that the PLAYLIST features the name of the first clip followed by the name of the second clip followed by the name of the word "menu;"

    18. Repeat for the remaining thumbnails in the title list;

    19. If you get the order mixed up, then use the ARROW UP and ARROW DOWN buttons above the PLAYLIST to re-position each clip in the list;

    20. When you're satisfied with the PLAYLIST, click the FINISH step button, test the playback using the software DVD player, then click the BURN PROJECT TO DISC button;

    21. After the BURN PROJECT TO DISC button appears, make sure you have the correct drive selected and - after making all adjustments - click the BURN button.

    These steps worked for me.

    When I press my SKIP button using the remote control of my Toshiba D-R1 DVD player/recorder, I observe the display jumps from TITLE to TITLE.

  4. I also use DVD Workshop 2 and my stand-alone DVD player will not skip to the next title with the next button.

    So... for my music video DVD's, I just put a chapter point at the last allowable point of all the titles

    If all your videos fade to black at the end, it should be a satisfactory solution. Otherwise, a little sloppy but, it's better than nothing.

  5. I can't figure it out either. If anyone knows how to join different video clips into one TITLE, please tell me how to do it! I am forced to use TMPGnc to edit the clips together and then use Workshop for everything else. TMPGnc Author can perform this function, but the menu-making features suck.

  6. Ulead DVD Workshop is primarily an *authoring* application and not an *editing* application.

    For joining MPEG clips, I would recommend Ulead Mediastudio Pro 7.0:
