  1. I hope I'm not asking a question that has been asked a million times before! But ....here goes anyway!!

I've burned a movie on to DVD-R, and I can't get it to play in my DVD player!! Plays fine on my computer.

I've checked the owner's manuel and my machine supports the DVD-R. I get a scratch error/your disc is dirty error, when I try to start up my player.

A bit more information. I'm using B's Recorder Gold Basic. The burner is LG, I was burning an AVI file. My home player is a Panasonic DVD/VCR
    model PV-D4743S-K.

Mind you I'm rather new at this....but any help appreciated

What kind of media did you use? (Blank disc)

Some stand alone players simply will not play certain brands of DVD-R media.

PLays on the computer...means video is on the disc, so it burned OK...but not good enough for the error control of your Panasonic.

Try a different brand of media.

How exactly did you proceed ? Did you author your disc ? How ?
