  1. Hello,

    I have a dvd and did the next things with it:

    1) Rip to hard drive
    2) Make it fit on a dvdr(w)
    3) Sync the srt with the movie, and then made my .sup with srt2sup
    4) Demuxed it with VobEdit
    5) Muxed my new dvd (main movie) with ReJig (because i read somewhere that IfoEdit does not support NTSC

    So far so good, this is the result:

    And this is the original dvd:

    But what to do next, if i want to put my menu back in? I read somewhere else, to put the main movie files (4) of the new muxed dvd in the original map, but when i do this, it does not play at all, and when i only play the main movie, the subs are not right, because PowerDVD says it is dutch, but it is the english sub, and the dutch one can't be selected.

    Can anyone help me with this, it's very irritating to have come so far, and then not being able to finish the job!

    Thanx in advance!!

    I can't tell what you are trying to do. The original DVD was less than 4.7GB, so you didn't have to "make it fit on a DVD-R(W)".

    Are you saying that you want to replace a subpicture stream with one of your own?

    Also, I use IFOEdit all the time (but maybe not for what you are doing).

    Like SLK said...it was already under 4.7 GB, DVD Decrypter mode > ISO > read.....then......DVD Decrypter mode > ISO > write

    13 minutes later (at 4x), perfect 1:1 backup, menus, subs, audio, everything.

    That's how I would have done it too ..... or are we missing something ?

  5. @SLK001
    The original dvd was 6,9 GB, with 'original' i meant that it was not demuxed and remuxed yet, sorry for that! And yes, i am adding a new subpicture stream to the dvd.

    @northcat_8
    Thanx for your reaction, but this is totally not what it is about in this topic, making 1:1 back-ups is easy! I would like to know which files i have to combine to have my main movie play with new subs, but also keep the original menu. Perhaps you know this?

    @Phil Thomas
    So yes, you are missing something

    Perhaps someone can still help me with my problem?

    Then you should have said you were trying to add your own subs to a DVD. There are guides for doing that at the left.

  7. Very well, my question was not very specific, i agree. But i am looking for an answer here.

    I have read a lot of guides and threads on this and on other forums, but they are not really clear about what to do, to get your menu back in, so i ask it here.

    Anyone?!
