i was wondering if there's anyway to backup 2 dvds in 1 dvdr backup and preserving the menus of at least 1 of them
as far as i know to do this u have to reauthor and when u do that dvdshrink scraps out all menus
is there a way around this or a link to a guide to do it if possible?
thnx![]()

These are just a set of post that ask the same questions. Have a look.
I have used them myself to put 2 titles on one dvd. 8) 8)

Try this guide

I have used it a few of times and have not a problem with them.
Good luck -
well guys that's not my point i know i can do that
i mean can i keep 1 movie with it's original menus and then shove the other beside it on the same disc that can automatically play after the 1st ends or something? -
If in doubt, Google it.

yes i am familiar with these 2 and y should it puzzle u
lol
i'm backin up smallville dvds and they're flippers i want to keep all the extras and menus but want it on 1 disc that's all -
1. rip both to hard drive into folders disc1 and disc2 respectively.
2. In disc1 folder, rename VTS_01_1.VOB to VTS_01_001.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB to VTS_01_002.VOB,...etc. for each VOB in titleset 1 on disc1. Leave VTS_01_0.VOB as is.
3. In disc2 folder, rename VTS_01_1.VOB to VTS_01_006.VOB (assuming that VTS_01_5.VOB was the last VOB in step 2), VTS_01_2.VOB to VTS_01_007.VOB,... etc. for each VOB in titleset 1 on disc2.
4. Copy VTS_01_001.VOB - VTS_01_00n.VOB from disc1 and disc2 folders into another folder called complete.
5. Open VOBEdit and Open VTS_01_001.VOB. Go to Edit > Join Clips and it will prompt you for the starting ID (which is 1), and the name of the outputted movie and suggest VTS_01_1.VOB. This is OK, just press Join button. This will go through and join the VOBs from disc1 with the VOBs from disc 2.
6. Copy VTS_01_0.VOB, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_0.BUP and VIDEO_TS.VOB, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.BUP from disc1 folder to complete folder. Open VIDEO_TS.IFO in IFOEdit and press Get VTS Sectors button. This should then update the chapter points.
You will then have the main menu from which you can play the first side, and then side 2 will start at the end of side 1.If in doubt, Google it.
