speaking for my self, i talk normal hahahaha... i've noticed even here in america we have different accents. ya know, west coast(l.a.) vs. tennessee, nc, ga, ny, nj.... im one of dem west coast speakers. ive noticed on the national news they speak without an accent(well to me), you know that california talk. maybe cause all media is based out of hollyweird(hmmm dunno)
and then i noticed alot of users are from either usa or uk. does uk have different regions that speak differently too? cause to me an english accent sounds the same. do we(us of a) sound any different to you?
my main point is, who the hell speaks funny?

I guess I sound Southern, but I've had other people from up north tell me I don't have an accent.

I have no accent whatsoever. That sucks. I would love to have an British accent, though it would look weird as hell seeing as I'm Mexican.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -

Is a lack of an accent really an accent in itself?

I'm formerly from Pittsburgh. If you've never heard a true "South Side" Pittsburgh accent....consider yourself lucky...

When I was young I somehow realized how DUMB that accent is and made EVERY effort to NOT talk like that. It's actually a combination of accent, lazy mouth and our own little words that make up the "Pittsburgh-eez" experience.

I was afraid the security people would have done something. Plus he seemed to get a kick out of talking to an Australian once he found out
I don't know how he came to that conclusion though, I work with an American from New Jersey and the accents are nothing alike. -
Around here, I'd have to describe it as a mix between California 'Valley Girl' and Texan.
Except for the kids. They speak a combination of Skater and Gangsta. They're so ******* cool.

Can't be any worse than most of the drivers we have on our road.
From my experiences the Americans love our accent for some reason especially if they don't live in the more tourist based areas. -

Anyone wants to hear the Minnesota accent, just rent Fargo, it is spot on. Though, if you ask a Minnesota born person, they will just pass that notion off as nonsence, but let me tell you, having lived in WA, UT, TX, WA(again), UT(again), and now MN....it is done perfectly. Seriously.

I spent a lot of time in northern Minnesota and I noticed that too ....veeeerry accurate, especially the woman who plays the car dealer's wife.Originally Posted by Tiny71
