  1. please can anyone answer me this one
    when i try to encode to dvd with tmpgec my pc freezes or blue screens
    everytime
    Im running
    XP athlon2600
    1gig ddr 400
    nividia mx440
    xp pro

    when I had my old system running exact same software no problems
    (old system)
    xp2000
    sdram 1.5gig

    Does it matter which file you use, or do they all crash your system? Also, have you tried reinstalling?

  4. There are any number of things that could cause a problem like that.

    If I were you, I'd start by updating the video card with the latest drivers for XP

  5. Ya I thought that was the problem but thats been done but I still think its a video card issue I really just wanted to get it confirmed really before shelling out on a new card again
    but if you have any other ideas Im all ears

    Encoding is intensive for a PC so any weak components can heat up and fail like: Ram, CPU, power supply, motherboard and maybe video card.

    You'll need to do some swapping to find it.
