I am trying to back up an original DVD that plays OK on a DVD player.
I generally use CloneDVD with AnyDVD but half way thru copying one of the VOBs my PC locks up.
I have had the same result with DVD2One, DVD Decryter and Smart Ripper. I have even tried ripping while playing DVD in PowerDVD with no success. All fail on the same VOB.
My burner is a Pioneer A05.
I have had no problem in the past backing up my DVDs
Does anyone have any suggestions
Thanks In Advance

Sounds like yr original disk might be scratched/damaged...
Maybe ripping with DVDdecrypter in iso mode with read error retries set to 0 would help...
If you do have a lot of read errors though you wont be able to get a usuable back up.
Good Luck
