    Hello everybody:
I would like to find out if there is software which can play a video stream that is fed into the video capture card. Pretty much any higher-end capture software (eg Premiere's capture option) would display the video that is going into a capture card, but the screen is far too small for pleasure viewing.
The reason I am looking for an app like that is because my DVD player (LiteOn 2002) does not play DivX files correctly, they freeze for up to half a minute. Another problem is that the output from that player is not recognized by my interlaced TV.
That is why I need a stop-gap measure for checking my DVDs before I figure out how to fix those problems.
    Thx walter

You might look into TVtool. Not sure if that's what you are looking for. Most preview screens can be enlarged, but you have probably looked into that. I see that's a progressive scan player, but can't you switch it to interlaced? When I have my DVD player on progressive, it won't work on my TV either.

Thanks for the help, Redwudz (not sure if I should capitalize it):
TVTool might well be what I need!
I copied several pages from the site. I will have to rewrite the page design, though, to make it readable. I just cannot stand frames which do not move, leaving a small window for the relevant info.
It would probably take me till the weekend to absorb all the info from TV tool site, and then I may well get it.
Regarding my problem with trying to view the output from LiteOn 2002 on an interlaced TV, I did post a topic into DVD players section:
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212653
but it drew no replies, so I will have to figure it out on my own.
    Thanks again!
