After making 12 coasters, downloading 2 firmware updates & 2 software patches I still have yet to make a DVD-R video with my Iomega external "SuperDVD" and the supplied MyDVD (4.5.2), that will play on a standalone DVD player. +R works fine. -R used to give me DVDErr -339973 when it started writing to disc after compling the folders, now after another firmware upgrade I get DVDErr, -9978.
Thought I'd found a workaround: building the DVD folders on the HD (Tools>Make DVD Folder...) then burning these to the -R disc with Hotburn as a data disc. Sadly while DVDs made this way will play on the compter I found they don't work in standalone players.
Anyone encountered this & found a fix?
