  1. I am trying to make some dvd's of some video clips that will be compatible with all of my dvd players in my house. I have a playstation 2, an xbox, and a panasonic dv31 player. First off I know that I can not use the dvd+r media with my xbox because it is not compatible with that drive, so I am using dvd-r instead. All dvd's using the dvd-r work in my playstion 2 and xbox but not sometimes the panasonic. I need to know is it the media, the burner or the software. The media I used was memorex (I know they have a bad rep when it comes to media but that is all I saw at walmart) my burner is Plextor PX-708a (I had to get it replace because the first burner was defective, would not read or write to cd-r or cd-rw) Nero is the software. Only one movie out of three played on the panasonic before I replace the drive and after the replacement I only have burned one movie and it played. The reason I mentioned the software is because in Nero there are some settings that are a little confusing. What is the difference between Dvd-video mode and Dvd-udf mode in Nero? Will using one over the other be better? I have tried both modes. What is the most likely cause of the dvd's not playing?

    I have

    1. Playstation 2
    2. X-box
    3. Plex 708A
    4. I use CloneDVD

and I love +R media, I try to only buy TDK(RICOHJP) or Verbatim(RICOHJP) 4x, they work in everything I put them in, I don't know anything about your Panasonic DV31 and it sound like the newest model and the +R should work there also. I get my media from Best buy or Target when they have them on sale. I see that you use Nero to burn the movie, but what software are you using to rip and compress before burning?
