I bought my the said recorder in wal-mart a month ago. But never tried to map tv channels since I didn't have cable or dish. Couple of days ago I got cable tv and trying to do channel search in the recorder, recorder recognizes only channel 5 and 6 and do not recognize any other channels.
I am really frustrated since I promised my daughter that i will record her fav. program from a tv channel.
Please help;;;;;

Why don't you just use the analog outputs of the cable box
Input that into the Cyberhome
Pain-in-the-ass because you will have to program the Cyberhome and the cable box but my guess is ... if you have digital cable ... that some channels will only come through if using the cable box anyways.
However my experience is that even with digital cable you still get most of your channels without the use of the cable box so it is strange that you are only getting two!
