  1. EVERYTIME I RECORD TO MY HARD DRIVE, AFTER ABOUT SIX MINUTES OF RECORDING I GET THIS ERROR MESSAGE: AVIOUTPUT. THE PARAMATER IS INCORRECT. I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. IM USING A WINTV VIDEO CARD. MY PC IS: 1.5 GHZ, PENT 4, 128 RDRAM, 80 GB HARD DRIVE, WIN ME. THANKS

    After turning off your caps button tell us, which capture software/ codec do you use.

  3. sorry about the caps. the software i am using is virtualdub and huffyuv. i hope this is what you are looking for. thanks

    This error happens due to the 4GB filesize limit in FAT32 OS like Win9x/ME. Select capture> enable multisegment capture and set the max. filesize of each segment to max.2GB if you want to convert it later. For example TMPGEnc does not work with >2gig files.

  5. thanks ill try that. one more thing. is it normal to have frame drops during recording or should it always be zero. if its not normal can you tell me what i need to do to fix this problem. thanks

  6. frame drops are a good indication so long as it is only 1 or 2 per 1000frames. 0 frame drops=audio async...capture in compatibility mode or uncheck capture/timing/adjust video clock dynamically to match audio clock and you too will drop absolutely 0 frames. dont delude yourself like those morons

  7. thanks for the info stan it works. i recorded 10,000 frames and i only dropped 12 frames. im starting to get some of this figured out. thanks for the help from everyone.
