I've been using Tmpgenc Plus to encode 40 min Xvid files with mp3 audio to mpeg2 files to burn to dvd. I have been doing it for quite a while. I find the quality to be fine at this range. All of a sudden it stopped working. Tmpgenc won't let me set the size of the output file to 33% because the bitrate drops below 3000. I've tried combinations of VBR and CBR but it won't work.
Also I have to keep changing the order of the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader in order for Tmpgenc to even open it. If I open multiple video files in media player, every one after the first plays back with a green pink purple tint. I think I have a codec problem?
Lately I have installed and then uninstalled the 3vix codec and that's the only thing I have changed on my system. Any ideas?
