  1. First of all, let me appologise if this topuc has been covered before but i did do a search and came up with nothing

    This is driving me mad! I have a Philips dvdr70 stand alone recorder and i currently buy dvd+rw discs for recording but i dont understand the difference between dvd+rw and dvd-rw, can someone please explain this to me

    I have a DVDR75 and have to use +R or +RW. The difference I have found is that in UK +RW are far more expensive than -RW..

    I find I can rewrite longer and better on DVD+RW discs. And they are faster (for cheaper).

  4. Thanks for the reply's guys. So, just to clarify then, really there is no difference other than cost If that is true then doesnt it seem a bit silly bringing out two different media types that do exactly the same thing or am i missing a point somewhere?

  5. Read the FAQs on the left...

    Basically, the +R folks didn't want to pay royalties to the -R folks so they came out with a competing format.
