Is there any application with great Realtime perfomance without having to buy a third party hardware ?
- Premiere suc#ks.
- VegasVideo is really great, but ...... mmmm.. i don't know.
- Final cut Pro, i haven't tried yet.
- After Effects... is the worst of the worst.
- Avid Express... i dont have it.
- Pinnacle Liquid Edition 5.5 - Amazing realtime perfomance, but the program interface is the worst thing i've ever seen in my entire life.
why drop a nuke on the twins towers, if you can easily drop it at pinnacle's company ?![]()

to complex maybe. Why not change the question to :
- Wich realtime performance do you prefer to deal with, and why ?
(assuming you don't have any extra hardware acceleration for realtime DV editing) -
Vegas wins this contest hands down ..
avid dv pro isnt real time unless you also buy the "mojo"
FCP has limted layers -- but does a pretty good job, but real time for FCP really needs a robust system .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Yeah, i love Vegas interface.
I also use vegas video for audio editing most of time. Crossfades and transitions are so easy to handle.
I still can't beleive why other editing programs are so complicated with that fact.
Unfortunely, most of the plug-ins out there, are for premiere and after effects. What a shame.
