That was a spammer and troublemaker we had here this spring. There was quite a war for a while. Lots of posts and threads about this guy.

Because some unsuspecting noob picked those particular initials - "NG" to identify himself, not knowing who the original one was.

The original one was referred to so often here that after a while people began referring to him as "NG", and not spelling it out.

Add that to the fact that the real "NG" became prolific in generating new identities on this board after his original name was banned.

I saw the apparent future grief this poor noob would go through, unsuspecting, because everywhere he went that there was another member who remembered the original incident, his user name would be probably be identified as the "latest Naked Geek alias". He would probably be confused, defensive and angry everywhere this happened because he wouldn't be able to understand why everyone was picking on him.

Eventually someone would realize that this wasn't the original "NG" and clue the noob in. But not before the noob had already endured much frustration over this "private joke" that seemingly the rest of the forum knew about, except him.

It would upset me.

The reason for the post was to identify the noob, identify the unwise choice of user names, and, in a humanitarian vein, hope that maybe someone would remember this thread when seeing the noob in another thread ....and perhaps set the record straight should the noob receive flaming for his user name
