Best Media for a Pioneer DVR-A05U

Title says it all I guess

Right now I'm using Memorex DVD-R 4x Discs and can never seem to get a successful file verification. Always misses 1-2 files it seems. Is it because of the media perhaps? Whats the best media to use for this type of drive...

I also have that writer...the best I found have been Maxell 2X and 4X. Not a single coaster.

I haven't had a chance to try Riteks yet, but people seem to like them.

RitekG04 and nothing but RitekG04. Best bang for the buck. No coasters. Great quality. Never fed anything else to my 105 after I tried them.

If you use the hack 1.30 firmware, you can throw any -media at it and it will burn it fine. After I changed to this firmware I had never had a coaster and you can burn at least 2x. I've used princos, riteks, compusa, khypermedias, tdks, memorex, and even no-names. They are burnt fine at at least 2x. The only problem is that the princos are starting to degrade (almost all of them) after 1 year so I would advise to try to stay away from those discs. The rest of brands seem to hold up pretty good.

yeah, I use the 1.33 firmware hack and all the media except for ritek have burned well.
