Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to make a subtitle permanant when burning it to an svcd format. I know you can make it go off and on but my dvd player doesnt have the capabilities to do that with svcd so i was wondering is there a way to make the subtitles on a video in svcd format permanant. So when you play it, its always there. Is that possible, if so please tell me. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

Take a look to the left under Author. Basically you need to re-encode the MPEG file with the subtitles. What most people do is frameserve the source video + subs using either Virtual Dub or AVISynth to TMPGenc/CCE.
There is a slight lost in quaility when you re-encode, but if you re-encode to the same bitrate and resolution it's normally not noticable.
