  1. HI EVERYBODY

Have just upgraded my G4 350 from OS 9 to 10.3, using FINAL CUT EXPRESS 2 as my video editor. All my software works under 10.3 or 9.0 Classic, EXCEPT my Digital Origins's PHOTODV. I get a message about problems with Mac's FRAGMENTATION CODE MANAGER when trying to run it. Has anyone else installed PHOTODV under either 9.0 or 10 [I was running EDITDV & PHOTODV under 8.6 before], or does anyone know of another peice of software that will do the same thing as PHOTODV? I use, or used, PHOTODV to remove unwanted items [time-date, etc] from video frames before editing.
Tried a demo of MEDIA EDIT PRO to try the frame paint capabilities but wasn't to thrilled with the results. That maybe with the demo.
    Any help will be appreicateed

Given that you're talking about a thousand dollar peice of software, I'd suggest you simply contact Digital Origin and ask for their help At that kind of price they should be falling over themselves to solve your problem!

  4. Wish I could just contact DIGITAL ORIGIN but they have been bought out by MEDIA 100 a few years back & MEDIA100 provides no more upgrades or support for PHOTDV, EDITDV, etc. I called MEDIA100 and got a "GEE, THAT TOO BAD, BUT" response. Even tried calling the old number I had for DIGITAL ORIGIN but it rang & was never answered.

I tried loading PHOTODV under OS 9 and got the same error message.

    Thanks for the responses.

    That's a bummer.

Perhaps there are some alternatives out there (the EditDV system is a few years old now, after all). I've heard Pinnacle recommended, I think their package is called Pinnacle AV/DV or something like that.
