Hello again. Just wanted to ask for some ideas and/or options about the following movies:

Alien
Aliens
Dances With Wolves

First off, with Alien & Aliens, there are 2 VERSIONS of each movie on the same DVD disc. I want to strip the theatrical version from each DVD and keep JUST THE SPECIAL EDITION versions and back them up on blank DVD+Rs. I use DVDShrink to break them down and compress them & then DVD Decryptor to burn them back onto the blank DVD+R. I don't want to lose any quality IF POSSIBLE, although I know that this is NOT probable. I don't mind compressing NO MORE than 30%, but it seems that no matter what I try to do, it keep ranging, at best, between 50-40%. If I could just take out the theatrical version and just keep the SE version, I am hoping that I would be able to sqeeze in at least 70% of the movie UN-compressed. If this is not possible, could someone tell me the best way to break it down into 2 parts so that I won't lose so much quality using DVDShrink. Thanks.

As for Dances With Wolves, it seems to be the opposite problem. The disc has 2 sides, Part 1 (which is around 2 hours of the movie) and PART 2 (which is around the final 1 hour of the movie, along with the special features). I just want the movie with the 5.1 DD and I'd take EVERYTHING else off IF I could fit both sides of this disc ONTO 1 blank DVD+R, without losing TOO MUCH quality. I don't mind going compressing as much as 40% of the disc, if only I can fit the WHOLE movie in 5.1 DD onto 1 4.7 blank DVD+R - I just don't know how to do this and if it is even possible. If not, then I am guessing I would have to bak up each side on a blank DVD+R, which would break down the movie onto 2 discs.

Another thing I've been reading is that it would HELP if I used DEEP ANALIZATION when burning DVD's that have to be compressed more than 25%... does this really work??? It so, how well??? is it worth it???

Thanks for any information and/or help with this...
