Use Virtual Dub mod, not Virtual Dub. Some versions of Virtual Dub cannot load MPEG-2 files.

Tried multiple times...with above forum link , and also couple others. Each time download appears as .html file instead of .zip or .exe. This glitch happens way too often....any thoughts on that?
AND ...how I can get v'dubmod file somewhere else?....Thanks

Excuse me, I have to laugh a little more. Okay, I'm alright now. Anyway, when you get to SourceForge.net, You find the server nearest you, and select that server's download file. Hope this helps:

Don't worry, I'm here to help. Let me take your hand, and move the mouse pointer over this link and ever so gently left click. Now, wipe your tears, I'll put the hanky over your nose. Now give us a toot...

Just a rhetorical question for couple of recent responders to my posts. (look the word up in the dictionary, which you'll likely have to borrow from local library if old enough. Word is found in R section , coming after Q, and just before S. )
Is this not the "newbies" forum?? Does the name of the forum not adequately define the usage of said forum , and level of experience with the matters being discussed ? - thus reason for using the forum ?

For purposes of clarification on one post...when I clicked a "download" link, my download manager was retrieving an .html file. The file was NOT opening as a page, which I then could have located what I needed. I did not think that the problem was the download mgr., ...as often the simple answer is the case. .......(why do I bother explaining, wasting time with likes of those that don't cherish and thank God for the electoral college--oops, sorry for that "G" curse word)
