There are my specs:
Satelite-Coaxal/ S-Video Soon tho- damn cable =/
P4 2.53 Ghz
Geforce 4 ti4200
1 GB of 2700 DDR ram
160 GB HD
and
-Leadtek-WinFast TV2000 XP Deluxe
My problem is when, i use VirtualDub- the free perfered video encoder with capture ability-i cannot capture anything except a black screen.
This is a new card and i have the latest drivers from their website, ive emailed their support but they dont respond very fast(its been 2 weeks)
If you have this card and would like to suggest/help me please do, this is probally a newbie question though =/

The winfast card uses WDM based drivers.
Virtualdub looks for VFW drivers.
Look for a capture application that works with WDM .. IuVcr is one (trialware) and there are others - some freeware - in the tools section on this page.
Once your avi file is captured, then virtualdub can be used for whatever editing, etc. you may want...Always check helpfiles/instructions before leaping... -

but i have problem when running iuVCR, i use satelite connection... all i see is a blue screen, for virtual vcr too, nothing but a blue screen even when recording... but when i use WinFast program, i see the TV and can capture using their program, but their program is bad for capturing, any advice? thank you
