  1. Move this to other forum if need be but I got a play back question. A few of my Backed up DVD+Rs when played on my TV's DVD player have a tendency to cut out at the end of a movie when it a long movie and I have burnt close to the edge of the DVDs(I am using Arita DVDs). If I play the same DVD on my Computer's DVD player this doesn't occur. I guess my question is what is the difference in playing on Computer vs a TV DVD player? Is it the software that the computer uses to play the DVD the key? In my case I use Power DVD software. Thanks of any input.

  2. software dvd players are A LOT more forgiving than hardware dvd players. On the edge, the dye is thinner on certain/most media. Too thin, more errors. The software player can compensate, the hardware player cant.

Advice, either back it up again or burn a copy of it onto higher quality media and throw the 1st copy away.

    ukcat,

what size are u setting the final output of your disc to? i set it to 4460 and have never had that problem u are. that and/or media and burn speed have cause your problem. with certain discs, i've had to burn at 1x or i'd see what you are describing. good luck =)

It even states in the instructions for my standalone DVD player to try and never burn to the edge of the disk due to a higher risk of error.
