Hello,

I am having trouble installing FS0J on my Liteon 411S (under W2K Pro). Everytime I invoke FS0J I get EAccessViolation. I did not have this problem installing FS0F firmware.

I have the same setup as you and have flashed my 411S drive 5 times. It never balked at FSOJ. I'd try downloading FSOJ again, maybe your first was corrupt.
Your drive is really a 411S and not a converted 401 or an 451 drive?

No it was a LDW-411S I picked up from best buy late last year. The FS0F firmware upgrade worked just fine. I tried several more copies FS0J and ran into the same problem.

I'm hoping that Liteon will sent me a file that will work.

Do you know what EAccessViolation means??

Can you flash back to FSOH or any other version?

Does the drive work now?

Do you know which Firmware is currently installed if it is working?

Can you put the drive in another computer and try it there?

"Do you know what EAccessViolation means??" Not a clue!!! I suspect that sense the firmware install has failed you need to flash back to the previous version if possible.
