I tried installing this files previously to the install of ffmpegX, but it never asked me for my password or said that the installation was succesful, it just thought for a little and then quit the intaller...am I missing something? Or is my computer up to date?
The I install ffmpegX and appers to be running fine although I haven't done any encoding yet.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.

did you try reading the "Read Me" and did you finish the installation process described in there? Also there are some nice tutorials for ffmpegX here: http://homepage.mac.com/major4/

Well, I did read the 'read me' like 10 times and I have followed the instrucions in the tutorial and the read me. The app did install, but it is not working. I think it is because the installation of the mpeg2enc and the binary player and encoder did not work....
any other ideas?
Thanks.

Major,
Thanks for helping me. The error I get says thefollowing:
Encoding started on Tue Feb 24 17:20:10 CST 2004
/bin/sh: line 1: /usr/bin/mpeg2enc: No such file or directory
INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler (version 1.7.0) is a general scaling utility for yuv frames

**ERROR: [yuvscaler] Could'nt read YUV4MPEG header!
I think it has to do with the instalation of the mpeg2enc file and the 2 binary files. Since the app ffmpeg engine install quits automaticaly a little after I hit 'instal' and I have located the files. It never asks me for my password or says the instalation was succesful.
Thanks again for your help.
