    Dear Friends,
I found a good deal on a DVD burner at Best Buy but I can’t seem to find any information about it on the Web. I was hoping that some of you might know something about it or where I might be able to find some information myself. If you do know something maybe you might know about the software that comes with it (anything would be appreciated). BUSlink 4XDVD+RW/+R Dual – Format Drive. I wrote this question originally acouple of weeks ago & was told by some on this forum that BUSlink was a company that buys other DVDRW’s and sells them as theirs. Some of you said it was probably a LITEON, but to check the drive and see. I’ve looked all over the Drive and can’t find anything but BUSlink. If you know what I should be looking for please help me find it. BUSlink is impossible to get hold of. That’s why I depend on you guys (and gals).
    Thanks again & God Bless

  2. I can only comment on my experience with Best Buy in general, which has been so negative that I will never shop there again. I'm sure not all Best Buy's are as bad as the ones I've shopped at, but for me, they should change their name to Buyer Beware. Check out BestBuySux...

    B,

Have you bought and installed the drive?

You post Win98SE in your specs, so go to control panel, system, CD drives, settings, and it should show you what the drive is as well as the firmware version.

If you haven't bought it yet, someone in another post did mention that the code on the box told you what was in the box, but can't remember who/where.

I do THINK the BusLink is a LiteOn, but am not sure what the hell I bought, Pacific Digital for one, real LiteOn box for the other.

Is this a last week sale or a this week sale? Should get one for the kids/g'kids.

    Cheers,

    George

    uncleB,

I bought that same drive. It was buslink box but when I installed it it was a liteon 401s. It works great for me and I have always liked liteon drives. I paid $59.00 for it after rebates. Was well worth the money.
