what's the difference between DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW??
i've been wondering...cause I saw them on most DVD burner

Pros:-RW has better DVD player compatibility and you are able to test before burning.
Cons:most writers can't burn faster than 2x(some 4x) and you must format before burning.
Pros:+RW has better defect management,faster writing(2.4-4x) and you don't have to format before burning.
Cons:can't test before burning.
For DVDR it depends on DVD player compatiblity and other factors,use what works best for you. -

DVD+RW Duration Average speed
Read 2:02 min 2.5X
Write 1:26 min 3.5X
