  1. what's the difference between DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW??

    i've been wondering...cause I saw them on most DVD burner

  3. Pros:-RW has better DVD player compatibility and you are able to test before burning.
    Cons:most writers can't burn faster than 2x(some 4x) and you must format before burning.

    Pros:+RW has better defect management,faster writing(2.4-4x) and you don't have to format before burning.
    Cons:can't test before burning.

    For DVDR it depends on DVD player compatiblity and other factors,use what works best for you.

    For this test we copied a 403 MB file (412.822 KB) from Hard Disk (on the same PC as the recorder) to the formatted RW media through Windows explorer (drag and drop).

    Read 2:31 min 2X
    Write 2:57 min 1.99X

    DVD+RW Duration Average speed
    Read 2:02 min 2.5X
    Write 1:26 min 3.5X
