I know most will say that you can record from VHS and other sources to DVD directly by means of the standalone DVD recorder. However, as the price range of those units may still be out of reach for some people, I would like to know if there are any software that will do the same thing? I have heard that Ulead's MovieFactory can do a direct VHS to DVD without having to save it to the hard drive. In reading over the instructions for the Pioneer A07 burner I bought 2 weeks ago I found that it came with this software.....havent tested it yet so cant say for sure how well it works. It did recommend a P4 with 1.8 and above for decent realtime capture/burn, but since I have twice that it should be no problem. My question is there any other software that can do the same thing as well?
