I have recently bought a LF-D311 and encased it in a USB hub. However, when I try to attach it, Windows XP keeps recognising as USB Mass Storage Device and keeps using the standard usbstor.sys as its driver.
The result being that I keep getting a Device cannot start error as I cannot get the proper drivers to be recognised.
Does anybody know how to get round this (It seems to have started ever since I bought a USB 2.0 PCI card)
Cheers

I've have this drive and once installed some region-free software...
...as a result WinXP would only recognise the drive as a DVD-Rom.
It was fine when I removed the software.

I know my 311s won't burn in DMA mode.
Don't have any USB external drives, so don't know if this means anything in your case or not.
