  1. I was just curious, does anyone know WHERE we can discuss such topics. I am not American but I do have many questions about their politics. Can someone point me in the direction of a forum of some kind that deals with these topics!?

    Man, the last thing you want to discuss online is politics, or religion. In my experience, people are about 10X more opinionated, when they can hide behind a computer screen and keyboard.

  4. I understand that...and it sucks. However, I live in Japan along with many Americans, Canadians and so on and we often get into political or religious debats. I just want to be able to clear things up sometimes and read what people have to say. Listening to someone speak and not being able to tune them out can be even more annoying.

    You got that right.

    And they tend to melt if you happen to catch them in the real world and confront them. That's the true measure of a person: if they can stand behind their professed opinions in person as well as they can in cyberspace if they get fleeced.

    I'll post what I truly think, if anybody ever asks me something. But my beliefs are my own. A person can accept them and disagree, attack me and my family, I really couldn't give a shit one way or the other. And I'd be happy to repeat anything that offends somebody to their face.

    I fear not cyberspace.

    what's even funnier is when someone calls you out with "maybe we should discuss this in person", and immediately starts backingpedaling when you say "okay, here's where I'll be, here's when, and here's what I look like so you can't miss me."

    ... on this very board, in fact .... still makes me chuckle.

    There is a forum website in Australia that I can discuss and tell on politics and not on religion. You have to be member for a while to access that private forum.

    The political discussion can get pretty heated, argumentive and abusive. I feel the political discussion will only get worse as the year goes on with the election coming up in Australia at year end.

    How many more threads to close due to the fights, name calling and so on. For this reason, I already emailed a suggestion to them of having a ban on politics forever.

    Political discussion, I do get sick of them and we have stupid voters out there.

    Great place to discuss politics...public bathroom stalls.

    At school, I had to pee but all the urinals were full so I went into a stall and the whole place was filled with arguments saying how bush had spent so much money on the war and not issues that relate to home. What I found amusing was that all the senteces had at least one curse word and how people managed to sound like they know what they're talking about and be abusive at the same time. Made me laugh.

    housepig - Did someone actually call you out online? That's got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard... and funniest.

    @indolikka -

    dingdingdingdingding! we have a winner.

    @mrtristan -

    yes, there was an exchange that went all the way to the "why don't we step outside" phase... until I shot back "sure, how does 5 o'clock today sound?", upon which the sound of feet beating a hasty retreat was deafening...

  25. Well since everyone knows now, I am going to come clean.

    I was young and niave....couldnt have been more than 9 or 10........Will was old and wise....yes thats right, Will touched me. Touched me in my special no no spot. He told me that all the board members were doing it and I was his special little guy. So I thought it was natural. I just wanted to fit in so darn bad. He told me that everyone would like me better if he did it. I believed him, I mean come on, he has so many posts. I thought that if I did it, I would finally be part of the forums, people would know who I am.......

    Well, I got news for you Will Hay. I've grown up. Im not that young little boy I once was.....Shame on you. And Im going to let everyone know you tried again last night.......but I said no. I am part of this board, with or without your help. You make me sick. So now go, walk out that door, just turn around now, because your not welcome anymore. I should have changed that stupid lock, should have thrown away the key........

    :P :P

    jk Will....you know I didnt say no last night

    Well, since hatz came clean...

    It was a dark and stormy night. I was lured into will hay's home with the promise of candy, videogames, and free dvd media. Before I knew it, I was pointing to a doll in a courtroom. HOW COULD YOU MAN? I THOUGHT YOU WERE COOL.

    nearly not as funny as hatz, but hey, all i could do 10 minutes before class

    Reminds me of that family guy episode..

    Peter: Oh man, this is even better than an episode of Touched by an Angel
    Announcer: We now return to Touched by an angel
    Lawyer: Jimmy, can you point where the angel touched you
    Jimmy[points]: right there sir
    Angel: Aw, COME ON!

  29. HAHAHAH Devanshu......funny stuff. You gotta watch out for that Will Hay guy. He knows peoples weaks spots and then uses them to get them to do naughty things.

    I remember that family guy episode...........soooo funny. Those guys are so witty. I also remember (might have been the first episode but you can clarify it I'm sure)........the court room scene where Peter I think it is, is found guilty then it goes around the court room getting individual shots of people saying OH NO.......do that about 5 times and then the Cool-Aide man busts through the wall saying........OH YEAH.

    Looks around and slowly backs out......hahahahahha good stuff.
