i have dvd info pro, for windows, is there a program like this for a mac that tells the media type , and speed and who it's made by . a new bie

On a mac under OSX you can get info on cd's/dvd's using Missing Media Burner.
Bout the only thing it doesnt give is the media code - unfortunatly
but you have a pc so you can just look up the info there

likewise, for just burnign speeds, toast will list avaliable burning speeds under Disc Info
