This is the replacement for the HP DC3000 recorder. It is aimed at the "I want a simple way to transfer home videos to DVD" market.
One difference is that the DC3000 recommends at least an 800 MHz PIII, but the DC4000 ups that recommendation to 1200 MHz PIII.
