  1. I have purchased an I/OMagic 4xdvd rewritable drive. It is supposed to burn all media. The problem I am having is that when I burn an mpg file from my hard drive I can't get it to play on my player. A Sony dvp-ns425p which is supposed to play all media. If I copy from an origanal dvd that is not copywrited then I am ok. It will play on my player. I am using Pinnacle Instant CD to burn the discs and burning at the slowest speed. When I try to play them the player says, Cannot play this disc. I am using Platinum DVD-R discs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I have used Platinum DVD-R 4x disks and they seem to play back pretty well.
The problem may be on the burner side. Check for new firmware for the drive that will let it use more varied media. Also be sure to check the DVD writers area on this site to find out what other owners of this drive are saying.
