I dont know if this is right post, but I need your help.

American Wedding DVD has the rated and un-rated version. I believe these are titles 1 and 5. I want to burn the DVD with just the un-rated version and keep all the menus and extras (I cant compress the rated version to still pictures either cause under movie files, it says Title 1,5 and they are not seperate). The problem im having, is I cant remove title 1. If I re-author, I cant select everything except the rated version. I am able to burn just the un-rated version, but without any extras. Can someone tell me how to burn everything except the rated version, and give me clear steps, because im a newbie at this. Thanks in advance.

  3. It is possible to do this... If i remember correctly, I opened a 'reauthor' window... I then commenced to drag the 'title 1,5' file into the reauthor window. From there, it was just a matter of removing the title 5(unrated?) from the reauthor window by right-click/deleting... This was with DVDshrink 3 beta 5. You could also do it with title 1.. Same concept.

I am able to get rid of Title 1 in reauthor, but then I will not have any extras or the menu. I want to keep everything intact except for the rated part of the Video.

  5. First, I believe title 1 is the unrated version, you will need to get rid of title 5. Second I believe there is an option in beta 5 under view(?) to combine shared titles, make sure that is unchecked in full disk mode...see if that works...

  6. Download CloneDVD Trial and use that.

It allows you to keep all menus, extras, etc and drop what you dont want.
Works great on episode DVDs. You can split to 2 disc with complete menu
and extra. And if u really want to make it "nicer," use menuedit to delete
    the buttons you don't need.

  8. I'd like to keep the menu and extras, but just want to keep the unrated version. (I believe it is title 5, and not title 1. I double-checked) I'm using DVD Shrink 3.1. With just the unrated version, the compression would probably be around 85% which is acceptable to me. Please help. Tia.

  9. Use AnyDVD and Nero Recode. I've done this with a bunch of movies where they had Full Screen and Widescreen versions. I just wanted to keep the widescreen so I disabled Full Screen.

What about your Aspect Ratio menu? The one with widescreen and fullscreen option. It's still there isn't it?

  13. Hi all.

Not sure if it is relevant to this thread, but after threats of serious nagging (by me) to dvdshrink, he decided to re-implement the "Combine shared titles" feature.

    It's available in v3.1.5b4:

    http://www.dvdshrink.info/temp/dvdshrink315b4.zip

Also, the Closed Captions are not stripped anymore, and there is a new interface for choosing default audio/subpicture streams in "Re-author" mode. .

The option is still there. When you select the option that you ripped then you'll either get a blank screen (color that you select) or a screen that says This Video has been removed.

What you can do is use a menu editing tool so that that option is disabled.

Not savy enough to do that. If someone were to write one up that would be cool.
