After research on this and other sites I reached the conclusion that Memorex DVD+R 4x Inkjet Printable media always have media code RICOHJPNR01. For example, if you search in the media compatibility list here, you'll find that only people who got RICOHJPN Memorex media reported about its "Media inkjet printable reliability", whereas no one who got CMC Memorex media mentioned its inkjet printable reliability.
Based on this I decided to order the Memorex DVD+R 4x Inkjet Printable media on 100 piece spindle from Amazon, who currently carry this at $99.99. See Memorex DVD+R 4.7GB Discs (100 pack spindle). My media arrived today and I am happy to report that it is indeed RICOHJPN.
If I am correct, this seems a better way to find the "good" Memorex media than by looking at the spindle color, and it also makes it possible to safely order this Memorex media online.
Questions:
1. Can anyone prove me wrong? For example, does anyone own Memorex DVD+R 4x inkjet printable media made by CMC?
2. Should a new media type be added to the media compatibility list (once we are pretty sure that my information is correct)?
Finally, thanks to all contributors to this forum and the media compatibility list!
