How can I view on my laptop/desktop the video from a Camcorder connected by firewire? Like when you connect the camcorder to the TV.

Do you mean watch, or transfer to your desktop/laptop for editing/veiwing/burning?
If its the latter you need software capable of 'capturing' the source from your camcorder via your firewire card/cable.
Look at the following three...
1) DVIO : free, no preview window, no editing facilities
2) Scenalyser : not free, preview window, no editing facilities
3) Pinnacle Studio : not free, preview window, editing facilities
Also, try the guides on the left of your screen, they're very good.

If you're using XP, you should be able to watch in windows explorer - it should be listed as a device - but you won't get any sound.
