I just joined xbox-scene forums(due to problems w/ my box if you remember) and I was just curious to see how many people go somewhere else.

If you do, state what other forums you visit.

For me, just this and gamefaqs.com

this is the only forum that I am currently actively participating in.

I was real big into gamefaqs.com when I was making Morrowind Mods.

And I always read doom9 even though most of what is said on there is over my head.

I used to visit a svcd forum on network 54 but got more answers from the guided and info on this site.
come to think of it that site was absolutely fu...ng crap compared to here

oh! yeh - a bloke in work who recently started getting into editing his dv film joined the dv doctor forum.
so I joined not long after him under a really stupid name and kept asking questions that i knew he was having problems with, all i would get was replies from him like: ooh ooh i got that problem, how did you fix yours.
but i got banned eventually - funny though

I check 5 forums daily, including this one, for regular posting. I also check an addition 3-4 weekly. It would help a little if I had broadband so that I could check several at a time. As it is now I devote almost an hour each day before work to checking forums. Most of the other forums I check are car related.

I visit a bunch, but rarely post to them. I most go and search for answers to problems that we need to solve. I use google most of the time to find them...


I remember making a post to a chevy pontiac forums for a stalling problem I had. I noticed that I added the link to my favorite back when I made the post...about 3 years ago. I checked it about a year ago when I was cleaning up my favorites and I had about 100 replies to it. I gave up on the post after a few months, becuase I found the problem and posted the fix. Still people felt it neccesary to post the possible fixes not one person posted the actually fix that I did. Actually no one was even close....

the problem was....car would all of a sudden just die. everything! no electricity at all completely dead! that's with a new battery too. I would let the car cool off and it would start up and run fine....


answer...a relay used in the alarm system installed by the dealer was going bad and when the car heated up it would crap out the relay
