I am a completely newbie. I know that there are different softwares for ripping original dvd's. Which good software that also is easy to use for newbies must I use to make a copy expecially of copy protected (macrovision,DECSS, etc.) DVD's. I want to use a software which does everything from the beginning to the end (burning). I want to copy DVD-9 to (2) DVD -5 or shrink it on one DVD-5

I know you want an all in one rip/shrink/burn program, but if you are willing to work in 2 steps, I'll tell you what works for me.
I use DVD Shrink to rip and shrink my DVD's. It leaves the files ready to burn. Then I use Nero to burn. This has worked well for me, and DVD Shrink is *free*, and Nero came with my burner.
Of programs which have burners built in, I think DVD XCopy is one. I would use the menu at the left of the page under *Tools*. There are reviews for pretty much every DVD tool available.
Hope this helps

Latest incarnation of DVDShrink even has the ability to burn, if you have Nero on your system.

using isoshrink makes it as close to a one click app with just freeware tools.
