ok guys this is my first post

i will come straight to the point !

i have 2 svcd which i wanted to burn on a dvd ! i did everything on the tutorial i have found :

here my problem

on my dvd player ( which accepts svcd) it does not work ! on my brothers though it works perfect )
the dvd´s i use ( sony ) work fine with my dvd player on dvdbackups so i think its not the dvdsitself )

other problem : on the dvd player list on the left it says that my dvd player does accept those dvdsvcd´s
so :

are there differences in encoding ? ( like will i get different results using different software ? of course there are different results ... but is there a possibilty that my dvd player will accept these with other software? )

is it possible that my dvd player afterall does not accept these kind of dvds?

is it worth to try different burning software?

should i try a different dvd authoring software?
