  2. Notice that it will ONLY work on AMD Athlon64 or Opteron systems. Nothing for the Intel gang. :P

  3. Thats coz Intel doesnt have a 64 bit processor (they should go to 48 bit as an intermediate technology)
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

  4. Reboot, your nuts. There is no 64bit xeon or p4. THere is rumors they will make one in the P5. Intel themselves stated last week that once 64 bit computing takes off (meaning enough software to utilize it) that they would be ready. The Ia64 is not a PC and does not directly use x86 based code for 64 or 32 bit. Thats why its slow as hell wh en running 32bit windows apps. It is a different architecture. It shines when running in massive 8 way systems and the like, not for the desktop use. XP 64 bit is for desktop use in either A64 or Opteron server usage. Ive got it, its nice but there really isnt an advantage if ya ask me. Just use XP Pro 32bit and run with it. No driver issues that way.

BTW, YES I own Xeon's too. My DVDr server is 2 x 3.06's.

  5. Damn! Time to buy an Athlon 64! Why did it take them so long??? Linux and FreeBSD have had full Athlon 64 support for months

  6. OK, but you said, "Thats coz Intel doesnt have a 64 bit processor", which is technically wrong.
